4C2 – We are separated for God and from the world.

Just as you can’t have momentum without direction, so distinction without purpose is of no value. You are called to be separate from the world so that you might be separate for God; and you cannot be separate for God without being separate from the world. Peter wasn’t name-calling when he labeled you “peculiar” (I Peter 2:9). He meant that you are God’s unique, purchased possession, no longer your own, but distinctly His. Jesus Christ valued you so highly that He sacrificed Himself to buy you back from sin and make you His own. It is His purpose then that your life now glorify God and show forth His praises.

DEUTERONOMY 12:30
